Not Wordless Wednesday

Who doesn’t love a good “Wordless Wednesday” post?

Well, this isn’t one.

Because it’s Thursday.

And I am not, nor ever have been, wordless.

But I had to share a picture that is worth at least 10,000 words.

Please tell me you have seen this.

Please tell me that you laughed out loud.

Please tell me I’m not the only one.

Seriously.

I could not let the sun set on Thursday without sharing.

And I know it’s wrong…..

…..but it does make me feel so much better about yesterday?  🙂

  1. You’re not the only one. Any kind of decorating which involves icing is alien to me. I am a great admirer, but that about covers it.

And, yesterday was not a failure. It was just another path chosen.♥

  2. Wait a minute…those look like my kind of cupcakes!!…My son’s standard compliment…”Mom, it’s the thought that counts”…Did it make me feel better?…Yes, somewhat, but I know he meant, “Mom, nice try, but they don’t look like the picture!”
The cupcakes are “beyond words”…”But it’s the thought that counts”…..

  3. I’m a nurse. I have a strong stomach but seeing mutant blue amphibian creatures that seem to be tossing their cookies makes me want to……toss mine!

  4. too funny! yup, laughing heartily, and my 4 year old is looking at me like I’m crazy =) Betcha they taste just as good as the pretty ones though. In fact, I may make these, and if they are a tad bit messy, such as in the 2nd pic, I may just have to eat every last one to hide evidence of messy attempt. Oh wait, that’s the 9 month pregnant hunger beast in me talking =)

  5. If this is wrong, I don’t want you to be right! Here’s to hoping he stays Cookie Monster and isn’t changed into Veggie Monster!

  6. Really funny and we have ALL been there! I bet they were truly delicious and that’s whay REALLY counts, right? That’s what I always tell myself when I goober-up the looks. That’s for sharing, Karianne!

  7. Oh, mercy! I laughed in my head, cuz my throat is so swollen it’s gaggin’ me! Strep. Yuck! Thanks for making me smile through the pain!

  8. Yes, I have seen it, funny and I can relate with it too. I have had inspirations that I have tried and not had them turn out anything like the inspiration. At least we try.

  9. LOL! I can relate. 🙂 Seriously though, while the cupcakes in the bottom may not be as lovely as the top, they are probably much tastier! They look like homemade with real ingredients. Gotta love the effort!

  10. Yes, I did laugh out loud. Then I remembered the recipe malfunction that I had today. I attempted to make baked apple pies using a recipe from Hungry Girl. The recipe had you make your filling and then spread it on an egg roll wrapper and bake it. The little pies just kind of laid there, didn’t brown, plus the filling ran out all over the cookie sheet. Pretty sad looking. I won’t repeat what my husband said they looked like. They will probably end up in the trash-LOL!!

  11. So I am not the only one who sees a picture of some cool looking cupcake or any type of cake and think I can do that only to find out I can’t do it and make it look as good as the picture……………..lol Thanks for giving me a laugh but really I laughed more at Susan’s comment…………….

  12. My son, now 39 with 4 children of his own, was the original “Cookie Monster, & I even had a Cookie Monster cookie jar. I will have to make these some time when all the big and little kids are going to be here. Yes, this cracked me!

  13. Bahahahaha…right out loud! That is my kind of cupcake. if it can make me laugh, I prefer it over perfection. I can nail just about any craft, but when it comes to cake decorating, mine look like that!
