A Journey of 1000 Steps

This is it.

You made it.

You set a goal and you set forth to conquer it.

A wise Chinese philosopher once said, “The journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step.”

Well…..my wonderfully creative, fabulous, exhausted friend.  Your journey has begun.

And we want to see it.  We want to see your “impossible.”

If you finished…..we want you to take a bow and show the world.

If you didn’t….if your “impossible” didn’t really get off the ground….if it fizzled at the starting gate……if your paint is still sitting in the can…..if your knitting is unraveling….you know what…..

                                                                 ……we don’t care.

You see we don’t care because we are excited and thrilled that you even started.

We want to see what you have accomplished…..we want to see where you are in the journey…..we want to see your first, middle and last step of 1000 steps.

(2)  Add your link by clicking on the link below.  This will take you to another page where you add the link.  (I know….a little lame with the other page and all….take it up with WordPress).

(3)  When you add your link it will also appear on the link parties at The Cottage Market, The Space Between, It All Started With Paint, A Sort of A Fairytale and Eclectically Vintage.  I know.  You are telling me!  Awesome.  Six link parties and you only have to link up once!

(4)  Grab a button and wear it like the badge of honor it is!  You earned it!  Show the world that you….yes…..you….have accomplished your “impossible.”

(5)  We will be featuring outstanding “impossibles” from the party on Tuesday, February 7.  Be sure to check back to see all of the features.

(6)  Lastly, this is not the end of the world where “impossibles” become “possibles,” so if you want to be updated on all our future challenges and exciting projects, be sure to add your e-mail to the box on the sidebar!

Let’s get this party started!

  1. Hi! I’ve tried the link also and it is stating we have to wait until January 31st at 7 am. I”m wondering if it is a different time zone. Will try to check back again…

    1. I have actually started writing online curriculum for the Texas Virtual school. I don’t have pictures because it is in the planning stages – syllabus, needs assessment, and scope and sequence – nothing interesting to the most of you, but very challenging for me to think in terms of other teachers and how they would use the material. As far as the HGTV submission. I am filling out the application for “Run My Makeover” and I have the DVD – it will be in the mail this week. Thank you for getting me on the path of trying new things – things I was actually afraid to start. I wish you well today and hope the Linky Party goes well.

  2. Well it’s lunch time here, so not too early for me !
Thank you so much for coming up with this idea in the first place Karianne, and for the encouraging comments – it really made me just ‘get on with it’.
Looking forward to seeing what everyone else has been doing.
    Thanks Fiona x

  3. Thanks so much for hosting this! It was just the push I needed to do my project. It’s not totally done, but I may have procrastinated even longer if not for your party 🙂 And now I’m really on a roll!!
    xo, Andrea

  4. Wow am I tired, I just finished up yesterday!! I am still going strong on my creativity projects, so I will keep it up!! Thanks for all your support and cheerleading!! Di@cottage-wishes

  5. My impossibility challenge cannot be documented in pictures (unless I take a picture of me yelling at the computer!)..I started my blog in Sept. 2011 to create a venue for my friends and family to see what I was up to, especially with my Christmas decorating..The blog enabled them to see my pictures, without me having to constantly send them to each individual. Well, it grew from there..I started to realize how much I loved it..HOWEVER, I am sooo computer challenged. I am learning everyday..I get such wonderful advice (lots from you) and other blogger friends. It has been a wonderful experience and have met so many wonderful people thru blogland…

My next challenge is to take photography lessons so I can use my new camera! Gone are my days of point and click!..

This is truly a great and inspirational link party…I did my first painting project (always left it to the experts before) but it was a small mirror that I had from childhood..turned out great, but not a monumental project for the viewers..

  6. The bread is enticing. I might have to try some for myself.

You know I love you in a bloggy sort of way, but I still wanted to say thanks for challenging all of and for this link party. Yay!!!

  7. Congratulations to all you spunky gals, who entered!!!

    “Books are the quietest and most constant of friends;
they are the most accessible and wisest of counselors,
and the most patient of teachers.”

    – Charles W. Eliot

  8. The loaf looked amazing! Way better than store bought. I have never baked bread before so I may try the foolproof recipe. BTW, I was up super early this morning waiting for the party. Thanks so much for co-hosting.

  9. That bread looks delicious, I wish I could reach right through the computer and grab a piece! Thanks for the party, it was great and accomplished it’s purpose, to put a get up in our behinds to get er’ done!

  10. Ugh. I didn’t even get started. Any of the bajillion projects I wanted to do were all needing just a little help from my husband, who has been out of town. Bad planning on my part didn’t constitute an emergency on his. LOL! Next time, though, I plan on having at least two impossibles done! 🙂

  11. karianne – thanks for being one of the “hostesses” for this linky party…though my project didn’t turn out as I had planned, I thought I still had something valuable to share – you’re right – at least I tried!

  12. I have only been reading your blog for 2 weeks…..today I laughed so much! I have lots of dust bunnies too, and sock fluff bunnies….we ought to go into business together!?
Thank you for putting a smile on my face
    Gill in UK x
